Chicken Stir Fry Recipe

chicken stir fry recipe

I made this chicken stir fry recipe as a replica of my favorite Chinese restaurant hibachi grill where you can make your own stir fry. Although I always make mine with shrimp, this time I made it with chicken, and it turned out great!

6 servings

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken breasts, cut into small pieces
  • scant 1/4 cup of oil (about 4 tablespoons)
  • 1/3 head of green cabbage, shredded, or cut into smaller pieces
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 16 oz of broccoli (I used frozen, and let it thaw a bit)
  • 6 button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon of Bragg's Liquid Aminos (may sub Soy Sauce)
  • 3 tablespoons of Garlic Chili Hot sauce* see picture below

Optional, but not included in nutritional info at bottom, I would have included thinly sliced zucchini if I had it.

Directions:

Heat oil in a very large skillet or wok over medium/high heat.

Add in chicken and minced garlic, and let let cook about half way done before adding the rest of the ingredients.

Combine everything else, stir and mix around until chicken is cooked through.

Loved this, but if you don't like spicy, cut the garlic chili sauce down to 1 tablespoon, because it is hot, and I realize not everyone prefers the level of heat that I do.
