Corned Beef and Cabbage Recipe

This corned beef and cabbage recipe is easy to make and delicious. Here's how:

  • 1 medium head of cabbage chopped in bite sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons of bacon grease or butter
  • salt and pepper (I like to use Lawry's seasoning salt
  • 1 can corned beef chopped into bite sized pieces
  • 1/2 chopped onion, or 1 bunch of green onions


Put grease or butter in the bottom of a very large skillet, add cabbage, onion then salt and pepper to taste. Cook on medium, stirring frequently, until cabbage is tender and slightly transparent. You may have to add cabbage in increments as it cooks down.

Add corned beef to cabbage, breaking apart. Cook until corned beef is warm, about 5 minutes.
