What about my pasta?

by Cath
(Ripe San Ginesio, Italy, and Liverpool, UK.)

I absolutely love your site Tiffany and your diet meals are delicious.

What I want to know is, is there any room at all in this plan for pasta? I live for six months of the year in Italy and can't avoid it - but I have to be honest and say I love it too! It's definitely my diet undoing.

I tried the original Atkins diet years ago and it worked - but I couldn't keep it up because I missed pasta too much!

Xx

Hello, I love your site

by Donna
(Texas)

I have just started the low carb lifestyle after years of struggling with my weight. I also have hypothyroidism and I did have the lap band surgery in 2005. I lost the weight and then it crept back up on me. Even with the band you still have to eat a high protein low fat diet to keep it off. And I had to exercise for at least an hour a day. And once you get back into real life, and I did, by getting married and buying a house and taking an advanced position in my field of work that needed a lot of my time and attention not to mention my Mom retiring and that my children needed me I could not stick with low fat and exercise for an hour a day so the weight slowly came back. Now I realize I need a program that I can live with every day and be able to eat out and not feel deprived or I just lose it and eat all kinds of bad stuff.

Atkins makes me feel satisfied and full and that I can go anywhere out to eat I would like. I also feel like I can do this for my rest of my life without problems. I am on my first week into the fourth day and have lost three pounds so far. And I am feeling so much better. I do get tired sometimes during the day but I do not feel like I am on a diet or suffering to death like on most diets. I love your site, you are so funny and pretty and I love, love your recipes I have already tried some and they are awesome.

Take Care,
Donna

Good Morning Darling!

by Cary
(Orlando)

Hi!

I love your chili mac idea!
I have got to get some more Dreamfields!!

How are you this weekend!? How are the diet changes you made coming along? I love experimenting! I am getting into IF a bit. Or at least not forcing myself to eat when I am not hungry.. It's a fine line for me sometimes. I have in the past used ketosis to push myself further into starvation. I am much better mentally now so I think I will do good!

What's on the agenda for next week? You are starting back on Atkins, right?

Have a wonderful Sunday dollface!

C~

Love your site

by Joey Barrett
(Round Rock, Texas)

This is a very interesting page. Your story is amazing. I too have been in and out on a diet since high school. And some how by 2008 I was up to 400lbs. Luckily I realized that I needed to do something or I was going to not be around much longer. So i started eating better and running and two years later my life is so much better. I'm down 130 lbs and I run races all the time. And I'm just enjoying life now. But i just wanted to say that you look amazing. And I will be checking out your site more often now. Thanks and have a good day.

Tiffany,

I cannot find the crunch.......that extra something that makes a great crunchy sound...

Have done the cauliflower, which is great but need something new.

What did you find to satisfy you and have your found ANY bagel or bread worth the carbs to eat occasionally?

Your Pesto Salmon..

Hi chica,

I just forgot to tell you I am making your pesto salmon this weekend. I am doing low fat and low carb for another week or so (going to raise fats slowly) and have some good pesto actually in the freezer so this is perfect! I think I am doing roasted asparagus with balsamic vinegar to go with.

Thanks for the great idea!

Cary~

What a find!

by Judith

Why did it take me so long to find your great site? I am so glad I did! Such inspiring recipes. I'm having a great time reading them all. Thanks so much for putting them all together. I have been low-carbing for over a year now, and need some inspiration. I've lost quite a lot of weight in that time, and still have more to lose. Slow and steady does it.

Butternut Squash

by Lucy
(IL)

This is the squash that people use in place of pasta right? I've never tried it and WON'T until I see step by step pics how to bake/cook it! I just know I'll ruin it :(

I've always wanted to try it, but I'm too chicken w/out pics to help me along... Needless to say I'll be on the lookout for your pictures!

Hello darling!

by Cary
(Orlando)

I love your chili casserole.. I am SO going to make that.. I think I have everything I need to make it. I want to wait a couple more weeks before I try chilies.. but this is going on my list.

So you had computer issues? Everything ok now?

If you like coconut you should try the coconut pudding I am writing about on my blog. I just tried it (before it's set well!) and it's REALLY good.. I did need to add a bit of davinci to it but WOW I love it.. Fawn gave me the recipe.

What's on the plan for the weekend?
Hope you have a great one. Talk to you soon.

Brussel sprouts are like crack aren't they!? I LOVE them!
Nice recipes. I have been tossing mine in CO and roasting them in the oven.. I like them half burned practically *smile*.. sort of like how you roast green beans till brown.

How are you?

Have a great Wed.. off to read more on your site.

I made this for the family last night and I thought it was WAY too rich! I am going to try it again with maybe 1/4 of the mayo. My family liked it. DH gobbled it up!
