Hi Chloe!
I have a funny story for you....my Mom used to run when I was raising my 3 children. She would frequently tell me "You should come with me, once you start it's so much fun!" I thought "What a nut case....FUN?" Well, I can't say that I think it's fun....for the most part my favorite part of the gym is the steam room and laying by the pool with my kindle....
However, I must say that while it takes me a bit to get started each day and I do have to talk myself into it most days, I feel so good after! And the funny thing? Today is actually my rest day and I feel flabby because I'm not exercising.....just another delusional diet confession I'm learning to get over but that's my story.
Once you do it, it really does feel good. Playing is a good start! If you have a dog, a partner, a good friend...just get out there, kick your shoes off (yes I said shoes off for great lawn play) and have a good time.
Take your book so you can read during periods of rest.

2 weeks by: Tiffany
Chloe (love your name!)
1) It takes the average person a full two weeks to make anything a habit. Make yourself move for two weeks, and it'll become habit, and your body will crave it.
2) To get started, do something that makes your skirt fly up (fun - that is). Find that something that gets you moving and work up from there. Zumba, dancing, Tae-Bo - these are all fun workouts. Not your thing? Go for a nice long walk - even load a book on your ipod and listen to a book - although music will lift your spirits and your steps. Keep doing these things a minimum of 6 days per week, and it'll become habit.
3)When I have day where I just really truly don't feel like working out - I make a deal with myself. I say, "Ok, Tiffany, if after 15 minutes of this, you still want to quit, I'll let you (until tomorrow.)" The funny thing is, after 15 minutes of it I have NEVER quit, but I tell myself that to get going on days where I just don't want to.
It really is about making it a habit, so find what you like, make yourself do it, and then let your body do what it WANTS to do - move!
Good luck! Feel free to come back and let us know how you're doing!
