This is the way that my Mom used to make S.O.S. and I like it much better because hamburger can be found everywhere and dried beef can't.
In large frying pan, cook hamburger until crumbled - drain grease. Add milk until the hamburger meat is covered with liquid. Add celery salt to taste. When mixture is just starting to boil, turn down the heat and add Thicken/Thin until mixture is a thick gravy consistency.
This dish was originally intended to be eaten on "shingles" - slices of toasted bread. But since I don't do "shingles" I just try to make sure that the mixture is thick enough so it can be eaten "shingle-less!"

Put the steak on a large cutting board, and with a sharp knife, cut long slashes through the meat in two directions so you end up with a sort of diamond pattern. Do this on both sides of the meat. Flank steak has a definite "grain" so make sure you're cutting across it in 2 diagonal directions, not parallel to it.
Place the steak into a large glass or plastic container that will allow the meat to lie flat. Pour the salad dressing over the meat. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate several hours or overnight. Turn the meat over once or twice during this time if the dressing doesn't completely cover it.
When you're ready to cook, preheat your oven broiler and get your broiler pan ready. Take the steak out of the marinade and place it on the cutting board again. Pour the marinade down the drain. Wipe the steak dry with paper towels. Put the steak on the broiler pan and broil it for about 5-10 minutes on one side, depending on the thickness of the meat.
Take the broiler pan out of the oven and turn the steak over so the raw side is on top. Now get that herby cheese and smear it all over the top side of the steak. Put the pan back under the broiler and broil till the cheese turns bubbly and gets a little browned.
When serving, slice it thinly on the diagonal. You can easily see the "grain" of the meat; cut it the other way!
NOTE: Do not overcook the meat. Flank steak is very, very tough, and while the marinade and the diamond slashes help tenderize it, overcooking will turn it into shoe leather. The meat should still be bright pink in the middle.Yummy crockpot roast

You take one pre-cooked, frozen (but thawed) Italian meatball and wrap with a 1/2 slice of bacon.. Yup and you can use a toothpick to keep the bacon wrapped and can then just pick it up by the toothpick and eat it too.
I never tried it but I'm sure you could use your own favorite meatball recipe with fresh meats and they would be even better. We just like the frozen ones for the convenience. Next time we make them I will try it with fresh meat.
To cook them it's either on the smoker at like 250 degrees, or on the grill using indirect heat. If done in the oven maybe 350ish?
Before Low-Carb we would sprinkle them with a BBQ rub that had a decent amount of brown sugar and would glaze them with BBQ sauce the last 20 mins. Just thought maybe you or anyone would like to know in case you make them for non-low carbers and wanted to try that out for them.Beef and Cabbage
Brown HB meat. I season it with pepper and garlic, mmmmmmmmmmmmm Heat cabbage in bacon grease. (I, sometimes add onions with the cabbage). When cabbage and/or onions begins to wilt, mix into browned hamburger meat.
At this point, I nearly always add grated cheese, but that it optional.

Discard tough green outter leaves from cabbage. With a sharp knife, core cabbage. Fill pot 3/4 full with water, heat to boiling and place cabbage in water. Using two large spoons or forks, gently separate leaves as outter leaves soften and remove 8 large leaves from cabbage and set aside. Trim rib of each reserved cabbage leaf very thin.
Brown ground beef until cooked. Drain Saurkraut and add to browned ground beef. Stir in one can of tomato sauce. On center of each cabbage leaf place about 1/2 cup of ground beef mixture and fold 2 sides of cabbage leaf over meat, overlapping edges. Roll jelly-roll fashion and place seam side down in 12 x 8 baking dish. Pour remaining jar of sauce over cabbage rolls, cover dish with foil. Bake in 350 degree oven for 11/2 hours or until cabbage is tender, basting often with sauce in dish.Super easy, tasty beef stroganoff
