A Simple Salmon Recipe

Recipes need not be complicated.  Sometimes you just want to make salmon with ingredients that you already have in your pantry.  So here is my go to simple salmon recipe.

  • 4 6 oz Salmon filets
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil or butter
  • Optional - lemon wedges


Combine seasonings in a bowl.  Sprinkle the mixture evenly over all of the salmon filets. 

Heat a pan over medium heat with butter or olive oil. Cook salmon for 5 minutes on each side.

Serve with a side of fresh lemon.  Pictured also with my yummy 'pan fried' spaghetti squash.
